2023 Honorary PhD Ceremony Opening Video
The Weizmann Institute’s 2023 honorary PhD ceremony was postponed after the attacks on October 7. On May 19, 2024, the six honorees were finally celebrated for their extraordinary contributions to society.
To open the ceremony, this video delivered an inspiring message of resilience and strength in the form of a montage of past honorary PhD acceptance speeches – some going back decades. These past honorees span a broad geographical, cultural, and professional spectrum, demonstrating that science can truly serve all of humanity.
