In this event, recorded live from Israel, Prof. Gabi Barbash, renowned epidemiologist and leading expert in preventative medicine, provides insight into a wide range of issues related to the current pandemic. Barbash, who serves as Director of the Weizmann Institute’s Bench-to-Bedside Program, a collaboration between scientists and physicians working towards finding solutions for disease, expressed optimism that the world is moving into a far more manageable period in which the virus becomes endemic.
After his lecture, Barbash answered questions submitted by the virtual audience on topics including vaccine effectiveness and safety for young children, the continued need to wear masks and the expectation that we will continue to see new variants of the virus in the coming months and years.
