He goes from the history of the virus – from discovery to how it moves through animals and humans – to epidemiology, virology, target drugs, and treatment and prevention. Dr. Diskin also looks at which off-the-shelf drugs might help fight it, and gives his “best guess” as to which in-process vaccines at companies like Merck have the most potential.
