In this installment of the “Window to the Campus” series, we learn about the vision of Dr. Chaim Weizmann to transform the sandy hills of Rehovot into a green campus that would rival the great universities of Europe and the United States. Today, the Weizmann Institute campus is an oasis of green lawns, impressive buildings and sculptures, and a variety of trees and plants. Prof. Asaph Aharoni of the Department of Plant and Environmental Sciences tells us about some of the flora found at the Institute, as well as his own research and its implications.
