Israeli scientists are pioneering innovations in space. Hear from three experts about their global impact.
PANELISTS
Dr. Yonantan Wintraub, Co-founder of SpaceIL, which landed the first private interplanetary spaceship on the Moon in 2019, and PI at Stanford developing medical devices to diagnose skin cancer without biopsy.
Dr. Michal Schwartz, Professor of Neuroimmunology at the Weizmann Institute of Science, inventor of a novel immune therapy to combat Alzheimer’s disease conducted an experiment on-board the International Space Station.
Dr. Oren Shriki, Head of the Department of Cognitive and Brain Sciences at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, uses mathematical analyses of brain activity to develop novel diagnostic tools for neurological and psychiatric disorders, monitored astronauts’ brain activity using a novel EEG helmet. He recently monitored astronauts’ brain activity in space using a novel EEG helmet.
