Sr. Human Resources Manager

Summary of Position

ACWIS is looking for Sr. Human Resources Manager as part of the HR team supporting the organization by overseeing a variety of HR functions including benefits, payroll, recruiting, HR compliance and administration. This position will lead day-to-day HR administration and partner strategically with the AVP, HR & Administration.

This role will manage specific areas related to HR including (but not limited to) talent management and recruitment, onboarding, HR compliance and EE relations.

The Sr. Human Resources Manager will work closely with other team members in administering HR programs across all ACWIS locations to ensure consistency with Human Resources handbook policies and HR best practices.

Essential Responsibilities

    • Coordinate recruitment efforts and work closely with internal and external partners on job descriptions and postings and reviewing candidate resumes and qualifications via ATS system.
    • Recommend candidates for review and track workforce and recruitment metrics.
    • Coordinate interview schedules including in-person interview itineraries and airline and hotel reservations.
    • Partner with AVP, HR to research, administer, monitor staff training initiatives.
    • Oversee mid-year and annual performance review process, including review of evaluations for all staff.
    • Partner with team members in creating new policies and processes to ensure efficiency in all HR operations processes.
    • Conduct department audits and ensure compliance for employee files, training completion, performance reviews, HRIS information and compensation.
    • Responsible for overseeing benefit programs (medical, dental, vision, GTL, LTD,ADD, 403(b), retirement benefits, etc.), including plan design and cost evaluation.
    • Responsible for benefit and leave administration including but not limited to health, unemployment, temporary disability, workers compensation and FMLA.
    • Oversee benefit open enrollment process including strategy, communication, meetings, and trainings.
    • Provide support in carrying out various human resources programs and procedures for all company departments and personnel and act as liaison between employees and HR.
    • Support team with streamlining processes across the organization.
    • Ensure the organization follows all applicable laws such as benefit notifications & filings, benefit and HR compliance, and government regulations.
    • Partner with team members to update HR Guide for cross training and effective management of various processes.
    • Recommend and lead compliance initiatives such as labor law, FMLA and state leave tracking, COBRA, Disability Leave, etc. for all US regions.
    • Maintain and expand knowledge and understanding of existing and proposed federal and state laws/regulations affecting human resource management. Identify trends that could affect organizational objectives and/or operational resources. Interpret appropriate laws and policies and advise management, employees and retirees accordingly
    • Performs other related duties as assigned

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and skills: 

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred, business or HR related.
    • Must have SHRM or PHR certification.
    • At least 5-7 years progressive Human Resources experience.
    • Strong understanding of HR concepts, practices, programs, and methodologies.
    • Working knowledge and experience with ADP Workforce Now payroll and ADP Employee Self Service, including Time & Attendance, HR Benefits, Recruiting and Applicant Tracking (ATS) modules.
    • Ability to work in collaborative and collegial manner with all internal and external stakeholders.
